About the artist...

She is woman of light, of hope and of passion with a personal undertaking to be
a true representative of spiritual and visual experience.

How would you truly define the depth of one’s art? When does art persevere to realize its purpose? What is the true power of art? From these questions arise the spiritual awakening of painter Yolanda de Castro-Cabuco through the transcendent expression of her art. A survivor on a mission, having surpassed a critical brain stem surgery, de Castro-Cabuco has pursued the visual arts to honor beauty, wisdom and truth through the manifest imagery of God’s messages. Upon these pillars of vision is where the power of her works drawn. From her deepest faith in Him comes the progression of her art, an ever transforming revolution of creativity that mirrors the beauty of God’s creations.

Being a fervent Born-Again Christian, de Castro-Cabuco’s artworks have achieved the flowing beauty of those of the masters despite being a self-taught artist, as she relies purely on the wisdom and strength that God reveals to her. Her works are a consolidation of poetic outlines and colors, orchestrating a profound understanding of life in all its essence. From landscapes, lake scenes, flowers and forests, her intimate style compares to the fluid movement achieved in the chromatic lyricism of Claude Monet.

The divine identity of her works encompasses any medium as de Castro-Cabuco is prolific in oil, acrylic, water color and pastel. This prolificacy is clearly evident when she staged and joined 13 art exhibitions in 2012 alone, instantly creating her mark in the art field under the mentorship of the gifted artist and cousin, Arlene de Castro-Anonuevo. Her vigor and positivity make her a well-loved and respected president of Pinoy na Pinoy Visual Artists Association, Inc. a duly SEC-registered non-stock, non-profit artists association with nationwide membership and associated with the Philexport Foundation, Buy Pinoy Movement Foundation and EBEST (Business Entrepreneurs for Social Transformation).

It says in her favorite passage in the Bible, Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose." Indeed, de Castro-Cabuco, is more than just an artist. She is woman of light, of hope and of passion with a personal undertaking to be a true representative of spiritual and visual experience.
